Registered Massage Therapist (RMT)

Qualifications:

Current Massage Therapy license
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years' experience an asset
Experience with Swedish Massage and Trigger Point therapy is an asset

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Ability to conduct range of motion and muscle tests and propose treatment plans
Knowledge in administering guided and directed massage techniques: soft tissue & deep tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, joint pain and lower grade mobilizations
Knowledge of the musculoskeletal system and injuries
Ability to explain procedures, risks and benefits to clients
Must have strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and create a peaceful and nurturing therapeutic environment
Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards in all aspects of the role
Adherence to cleanliness and high level of sanitation in the treatment rooms
Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
